Before I dozed off he asked for a bowl...that he could keep....to use for his rabbit house. Not being sure what exactly this would involve, but knowing how much he loves to create things, I gave him one of my kitchen bowls.
I think I remember him asking what he could use for a fence and I sleepily told him to look through his "art" draw in his desk. Pipe cleaner is what he found.
The actual rabbit house was built with his daddy sometime last year but he moved it from it's original location to this corner of the yard where he was building his rabbit estate. He completed the mansion with a leaf steeple and skull bones hanging from tape.
And when the rabbit feels like getting some (more) fresh air, he/she can slip out to his personal beach.

Cannon did need a little help with the tape on his fence. Just before I woke up from my two hour siesta, he had talked his daddy in to tearing strips of duck tape for him so he could piece together his fence.
As soon as I woke up he asked me to come see his rabbit "estate". My mouth dropped when I rounded the corner in our back yard. I was so impressed!
And where's the rabbit, you may ask? Before he began working on his estate he tied green string to the bottom of a black basket and then hung the basket from a tree in the backyard. His hope is to be outside at just the right time... when a rabbit runs by...so he can cut the string and drop the trap on the rabbit. Again, completely his idea.
I would have taken pictures of him creating and hanging his trap had I known what he'd end up creating the rest of the afternoon - but my recount will have to suffice. I'll add a picture of the trap though tomorrow.
Thanks for delighting in my Little Man's creation. He's got a mind of his own...and I love it!
