Beautiful Picture

I finally synced my phone and computer and uploaded this perfect picture to the computer so I could share it on blogger. I will be 19 weeks Wednesday, but this picture was from my 16 week appointment. Cannon's sono pictures were, well - to say the least, unrecognizable. I pulled them out again yesterday and the only good one we had was from his backside. His spine showed up beautifully, as well as his head - but this picture of Leighton. Wow! You can see it all!

I posted this on FB immediately following the visit and I had the cutest comments. One person thought it looked like she is laying in a hammock, left arm behind her head and whistling a tune. I agree. Whatever she's doing, she looked 10 times more relaxed than I've felt!

December 28 marks 5 months so we'll be headed in on the 27th for her full anatomy scan. Can't wait to see you again Lady L!

How can I be so in love with a life I was never a part of... a baby I've never met... and a woman I only knew from high school?

Your story amazes me Candie - your faith inspires me... it enriches my soul. Gods gifts to you are BEAUTIFUL!

I look forward to every update. I can't wait for pictures of you, that growing baby bump, the nursery... and I will cry tears of joy when I see those first beautiful pictures of Leighton outside the womb. I have yearned for this, for you. I am in AWE that your dream is coming true.

The Real Me

I love sunrises, coffee, early morning runs, and sleepy morning hugs and kisses from my family. Mornings are special. I love something about all the seasons, nature, wildlife, camping, exploring anything new, the ocean, the mountains, space, the river and lakes...and I really love pretending I'm a professional photographer of it all! I love unique boots, flip-flops, crosses, stars, jeans that "fit just right", anything acoustic, and history. You might find me outside, in a swimming pool, on a trampoline with a certain little red-head, cooking, laying on the ground and soaking in the beautiful weather, watching or engaging in sports of any kind, blogging, shopping, driving back roads, or organizing any and everything. Someday l plan to travel, run a marathon, ride in a hot air balloon and meet Jesus Christ as well as those loved ones who have gone on before me. Someday I would like to be a part of a mission trip in another country, but for now my mission work is on the front lines with children in the classroom. Writing gives me time to organize my thoughts. Ohhhh, how I wish I took more time to organize them before speaking!!! Teaching and being a mother are opportunities God granted me to give grace back to others as He's given to me. My life was forever changed in 1998 when I truly came to understand God's grace.

2012 Celebrating 9 Years of Marriage

My best friend. My first and only TRUE love. The guy who makes me laugh the hardest right in the middle of when I might be the most frustrated. The guy who "meets me in the middle" and goes beyond that, in a world where most have their own way. My Mr. Dependable. The guy I share my life, and with God, created a new lives with. The one who gets me...in every way. The man that no other man could ever replace and complete the person I am. My husband, I love you. "Forever and always, no matter what."

My Little Man

Simply stated, Cannon is a miracle. Everyday continues to be more amazing because of what Cannon brings to our lives. His sense of humor, compassion, determination, and energy are just a few characteristics that make him so inspiring to be with. Since Cannon joined our family, my heart now lives outside of my body and in the palm of his sweet little hand. I praise God for giving me the opportunity to know love such as this. Because experiencing this love is so sweet, we've asked for others to join us as we've prayed for a sister or a brother for Cannon for 5 1/2 years. We've recently experienced our third miscarriage, but we've tried to keep our faith strong and we continued to pray for God's will to prevail. His plan is so much bigger than we can ever imagine. He knows best. Very shortly after this last miscarriage, we received the sweetest surprise possible. Another positive pregnancy test! So far things are moving along smoothly. SHE is growing and healthy and due May 2012. What a miracle!
